our story

From the Streets of Kathmandu to Texas

When the three of us met, we quickly realized we shared something in common.

We all grew up in Kathmandu, hopping from one Momo Pasā to another. In Newari, Pasā means a neighborhood momo shop—a place where people gathered over steaming plates of momo and bowls of achaar.

Whether it was after school, after work, or late at night, there was always a Pasā nearby.

why we started

Recreating a Feeling We Missed

When we moved to Texas, we found great food. But we couldn’t find the feeling we grew up with. We missed the warmth of a neighborhood momo shop.

We missed gathering around a table with family and friends. We missed the familiar aroma that instantly felt like home. So we decided to build it ourselves.

A Little Taste of Kathmandu

Today, every momo is handcrafted fresh daily using the recipes and flavors that inspired us growing up. More importantly, we’re building the kind of place we loved as kids—a place where people gather, connect, and create memories together.

Whether you’ve been eating momo your entire life or you’re trying it for the very first time, we’re glad you’re here.

Welcome to Momo Pasā.
The neighborhood momo shop we always wished we had—right here in Texas.

what people say about us

Tasty food that’s abundant and very reasonably priced. The place is super charming and the staff very friendly. Clean, too! You can leave reviews on their table tops! What a great idea!

We had Chow Mein, Tiki Momos, and chicken fried rice. Food was amazing! Staff was polite and down to earth. A lot of vegetarian options as well. Definitely check it out!

Five stars! We had an incredible meal and tried a variety of dishes, including the fried momo, c momo, and samosas. Every single plate was packed with flavor, but the momo pasa special was the absolute standout—it’s a must-order! The staff was incredibly helpful in guiding us toward the right choices, and the seating area felt very welcoming and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

Never had momo before but glad this was place we tried it first! We had their butter momo and their tikka masala wings. SO GOOD.
10/10, super saucy, super flavorful, service was super genuine and kind, very cozy and honey modern feel to the restaurant. Don’t forget to get some fennel seed at checkout!

Ordered up front and got amazing service, we had never had anything like this but were given solid recommendations from the guy working there. Food didn’t take long, came out fresh. We ate it so fast I forgot to take a photo.
